Admissions to undergraduate programmes are governed by the rules, regulations, eligibility conditions and admission schedule prescribed by the affiliating university, Government of Haryana and other competent authorities, as applicable from time to time.
The following provisions shall apply subject to the latest university and government notifications:
A candidate who has failed the qualifying examination shall ordinarily not be eligible for fresh admission to the college/institution. However, a candidate having a compartment in one subject in the 10+2 examination may be considered for admission to B.A., B.Sc. or B.Com. Semester-I, subject to eligibility, merit and availability of seats.
A failed candidate may appear in the examination subsequently as an ex-student, as per applicable university regulations.
Eligible SC/BC candidates shall be charged the prescribed concessional price of the prospectus in accordance with the applicable directions of the concerned Welfare Department/competent authority.
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of Haryana, who fulfil the minimum qualifying requirements prescribed for the relevant programme, may be considered for admission on the basis of merit, subject to applicable rules, reservation provisions and availability of seats.
Candidates having a gap in their studies shall be required to provide a satisfactory explanation along with appropriate documentary evidence/affidavit, wherever prescribed.
No class or subject shall ordinarily be started where the number of students seeking admission is below the minimum prescribed strength, subject to the rules and directions of the affiliating university and competent authorities.
Admission to Semester-I of B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. and other applicable undergraduate programmes shall be subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the affiliating university and the relevant regulatory authorities.
For programmes following the 10+2+3 pattern, candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary/10+2 examination or an equivalent examination recognised by the Academic Council/affiliating university.
Candidates seeking admission to B.A. Semester-I should have passed the qualifying examination with the minimum percentage prescribed by the university. As per the stated regulations, 33% marks in aggregate are required, subject to the applicable provisions for reserved categories.
Candidates seeking admission to B.Com. Semester-I should have passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed minimum percentage. As per the stated regulations, 40% marks in aggregate are required, subject to applicable provisions.
Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. Semester-I should have passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed minimum percentage. As per the stated regulations, 45% marks in aggregate are required, subject to applicable provisions.
Candidates may be considered eligible if they have passed an examination recognised as equivalent to the required qualifying examination, including:
Senior Secondary Certificate/10+2 examination conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani.
Diploma in Pharmacy, wherever applicable for admission to the relevant programmes.
Three-year professional diploma programmes conducted by the State Board of Technical Education, Haryana, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions.
Any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Academic Council/affiliating university.
The eligibility criteria, minimum marks, subject combinations, reservation provisions, admission procedure, fee structure, minimum student strength and other conditions are subject to the latest rules and notifications issued by Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Government of Haryana and other competent authorities. Candidates are advised to carefully check the latest admission prospectus/notification before applying.
Admission is subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria and availability of seats.
