Declamation Contest

The Department of English, C.R.A. College, Sonipat, organized a Declamation Competition on the topic �Pros and Cons of the National Education Policy (NEP)�. The event aimed to enhance students� oratory skills and to encourage critical thinking on contemporary educational reforms. The competition was judged by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Naresh Rathee (Head of Department) Dr. Annu Rathee Dr. Rajiv Dr. Urmila Hooda. Students from various streams participated with enthusiasm, presenting well-researched arguments both in favor of and against the NEP. After an engaging session, the results were announced as follows: � First Prize: Parth(M.A.Political Science Previous) Prerna (B.A. Hons. Political Science) � Second Prize: Payal (M.A. English Previous) � Third Prize: Vansh (B.A. 2nd Year) � Consolation Prizes: Daksh Dahiya (B.A. 1st Year) Kiran (M.A. English Previous) The event was further enriched by an interactive discussion session conducted by the Principal, Dr. Jitender Phor, who engaged with the students regarding their views on the NEP and encouraged them to critically reflect on how the policy would impact their academic and professional journey. The competition was successfully organized under the guidance and support of all faculty members of the English Department. The organizing committee consisted of Dr. Savita, Dr. Pinki Saroha, and Ms. Supriya. All staff members of the department were present on the occasion, which concluded with words of appreciation and motivation for the participants. The event not only provided a platform for students to voice their opinions but also highlighted the importance of dialogue, debate, and interaction in fostering
